Merry Monday: Christmas Star Book

Merry Monday to you all!  Each year I make a Christmas Star Album and each year I put my Christmas card that I sent out that year on the cover.  I had to trim my card a little bit this year to put it on the cover. I used the new Stampin' Up! fabric to make the covers and sewed it on using one of the decorative stitches on my sewing machine.

Then I snipped the fabric all the way around so that it would fray and have a worn look.  Below is a picture of the back.  I used a button and ribbon to keep the book closed.
Here is what the book looks like when opening it.

On Christmas day I have each one of my family members write a short entry about the day and put it in the album along with pictures from Christmas morning.  It is so fun each year to get these out and remember the past Christmas Days we have had.  Here is a link where I saw how to make this album:

  • Dasher Stamp
  • Early Espresso Ink
  • Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Early Espresso
  • Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Old Olive card stock
  • Deck the Halls Designer Fabric
  • Oval punch, scallop oval punch
  • Finial Press Embossing Folder
Thanks for stopping by!!
