I Bite!

Hello everyone!  Today is my crafty Thursday club so I will try to post pictures tonight or tomorrow of what we are working on.  I already showed you the apple shape card in my last post but I am also excited about the other two projects! :)  Here is another layout that went in the recent baby book that I made.  I really enjoyed using Create a Critter.  The animals are just adorable.  The solid papers are from Stampin' Up! and the patterned paper is from my stash.  I used Sure Cuts A lot for the title.  I also used that same font for the speech bubble by the alligator.  The font is called cheri and I love to use it for baby things and I always use it at school.  Here is a close up:
Thanks for stopping by today and I will talk to you soon!

First Day of School Shape Card

Hi everyone!  This is going to be one of the projects that my Crafty Thursday club will make this week.  I am going to try to do a video series that will highlight a card each week and call it Crafty Thursday Card Series.  School is about to start so this is probably a wishful goal!! Ha! We will see. :)  I haven't made a shape card for awhile so I decided to give it a go.  I used Apple #4 from Preserves and welded the tops together using design studio.  The gap in the middle that did not weld is where I placed my stem and leaf.  This way the stem and leaf are on the inside of the card.  Here are a couple more views.  You can enlarge these by clicking on them.

  • Cardstock is from Stampin Up!:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, More Mustard
  • Designer Series Paper is Jolly Holiday
  • Ribbon is Pear Pizzaz
  • I used the oval scallop punch and the 1 3/4x 7/8 oval punch
  • White Gel Pen
  • Paper Crimper for the leaf
  • Preserves Cartridge with Design Studio
Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish everyone a good school year!

You're A Hoot!

Hi everyone!  Here is another page from the baby book that I made for my cousin. I had so much fun making this page that I decided to make owls my theme at school! :)  I used Create a Critter for the Owls and for the title.  I also put the leaves though my paper crimper.  All solid paper is from Stampin Up!  The rest is the DCWV Recycled Stack and the ribbon was from Jo-Ann.  Here are a few more close-up's.

Thanks for looking and have a super weekend!!

Something To Crow About

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a crafty weekend!  I just wanted to share a scrapbook page that I made for my cousin's baby book.  (Jennifer, if you are reading this, the book is on its way to you). :)  I used Just Because Cards for this page and I had a great time making the rooster.  I cut many layers for his "tail" and layered them and cut them until I liked how it looked.  Some are embossed with Stampin' Up! embossing folders.

Paper is Stampin' Up!, Bazzil, DCWV, and K&Co.  Ribbon is Stampin' Up!

A Birdy Treat!

Hi everyone!  I know that I have been posting a few baby pages here and there for my cousin's scrapbook, but I plan on posting the entire book in a few days.  She lives far from me and I don't think I will get to see her this summer so I am going to ship it to her.  After she has looked at it, I will post all the pics here so please stop back.  Today's project is a cute little treat box.  I got the idea and the tutorial over at Splitcoast.  I was going to fill it with candy but then I decided to fill it with scrapbooking skittles.  I am going to give this to a fellow scrapper so I figured she would rather have skittles than candy!  And you will be proud of me because I used concord crush again.  I am really trying to break out of my neutrals!  Thanks for stopping by!

All Supplies are Stampin' Up except the sheet of acetate.
  • Cardstock:  Concord Crush, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
  • Ink:  Concord Crush
  • Ribbon:  1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon in Concord Crush (I love the in color ribbon!)
  • Stamp Set is Cheep Talk
  • Scallop Punch, Circle Punch, and Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border
Also I am excited to announce that I now have a Stampin' Up! website that you can order directly from (click in the upper right hand corner of my blog on the Stampin' Up logo)!  You do not have to email me to order (but of course, you still may do it that way as well)!
Take care,

Concord Crush!

Hi everyone!  Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments about my first blog hop!  Sorry I haven't posted this week, since it is now August I have started getting my classroom ready.  I can't believe how fast summer is flying.  I did have some time to craft today so I made a birthday card for my aunt.  I hardly ever use purple, not because I don't like it, I am just an earth tones girl and I get in a comfort zone of colors and am scared to branch out! Ha!! :)  But I LOVE the new in color called Concord Crush.  So I decided to use it.  Now I have concurred my purple fear.  Here is an upclose of the ribbon Pear Pizzaz.  This is such a nice soft ribbon to work with.  I stamped my flower image with white craft ink and then embossed.  I love how it popped out on the Concord Crush paper.

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

  • Card stock: Whisper White, Pear Pizzaz, Concord Crush
  • Ink: Concord Crush and Craft White
