Foxy Valentine: Crafty Thursday Card Series#17

Hi everyone!  Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments that you left me on the post below.  I just can't stop smiling!! :)  For this week's card I wanted to start Valentine's Day and I really wanted to use the set Fox and Friends because it is so cute (and reminds me of babies!).  I have posted the video below.

I also am dying to share that my CRICUT IMAGINE is on its way to me house!!
This is a picture of what my wonderful parents did for me for Christmas.  My mom put this picture of a cricket on a plastic tube and inside was the money to buy the IMAGINE!  I cried I was so excited.  She told me to enjoy it because with a baby coming, it is probably the last big purchase for myself for a looooong time! LOL!  So I have ordered one and it is on its way here.  I hope it arrives by tomorrow so I can have the weekend to play around with it.

Thank you all for stopping by.  I have quite a few Christmas cards I never got around to posting.  Is it too late???? Or should I go ahead and post them????
Have a great day!!

My Wonderful Christmas Gift.....I am Pregnant!!

Hello to all of my wonderful blogging friends!  I am so excited to share the news that I am pregnant!  My husband and I found out on Thursday.  We have been married for 8 1/2 years and for many years we tried to get pregnant and it never happened.  Our doctor said we were both fine and didn't know why it wasn't happening. So many different fertility treatments later (and a lot of money spent)...  we just kind of gave up and resigned ourselves to the fact that we weren't going to have children.  All of the years that we were trying, people would tell me, " as soon as you stop trying you will get pregnant".  I always thought "yea, right!".  Well I guess they were right.  This all came as a huge surprise and a wonderful Christmas blessing.  My husband and I are just so excited and thankful!! I just had to share this wonderful news with all of my blogging friends.  I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas and that your new year is filled with love and blessings!
Lots of Love and Hugs,

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Tag #9 Snowman Tag Snow Globe

Hi everyone!  I used the treat cups to make a snow globe of sorts on this tag.  I colored the snowman with my blender pens and stamp pads.  The designer paper is from Bella Road and the snowman is from A Cute Christmas.

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Day #8 Fabric Tag Ornament

Hi everyone!  Today's tag could also double as an ornament.  I used the new designer fabric that is in the Holiday Mini called Deck the Halls. Since it is made out of fabric and I used hot glue for the bow and button, it should hold up. :)

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Tag #7 Snowman Tag

Hi everyone! I didn't get a chance to post this cute little guy yesterday so I will probably have 2 posts today.  I decided to make this tag sort of like a mini card so that I could put a note inside.  I also have this blue snowman wrapping paper that this tag matches perfectly.  Thank you for stopping by and I will see you later today or tomorrow!  Merry Christmas!

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Tag #6 Simple Christmas Tag

Hello!  I just love this tag because it is SIMPLE!  Sometimes I just need something simple that I can make a lot of and do it quickly!  I made about 25 of these in about a half hour.  I also love those little gold circle clips that I put on the corner.  You can get them at Hobby Lobby and ribbon loops around that nicely if you want to tie the tag on.  I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend and are staying warm! :)  Merry Christmas!

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 5: Dasher Tag

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 3: Vintage Christmas

I made this tag awhile ago and I liked it so much that I turned it into a card.  I posted that card on Merry Monday a few posts down.  I used one of my favorite stamp sets:  Peaceful Wishes.  This tag looks great on Kraft or gold wrapping paper.  The video is below. Thank you for stopping by today and I will see you tomorrow for Day 4.  :)

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Tag #2 Cup of Hot Cocoa

Hi everyone!  This is tag #2 in the Twelve Tags of Christmas series.  I used Joys of the Season to cut the cup and the steam.  I embossed the white card stock with the snowflakes cuttlebug folder. I had so much fun making this tag.  I really love how the steam looks.  Joys of the Season is a great cart!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas,

The Twelve Tags of Christmas Tag #1

Hi everyone!  I had a SNOW DAY today! It was so wonderful!  I did not leave my craft room except to eat lunch when my dad came over.  So since I was home and crafting away on Christmas cards and tags I decided to do a series on Christmas Tags from now until Christmas.  I am making a short video to go with each tag.  I really LOVE making tag so I thought it would be fun to share....so here is Day 1.  Thank you for stopping by!

Merry Christmas,

Merry Monday: Vintage Christmas

Merry Monday!!  Sorry that I haven't posted for a few days.  I was out of town for school and we were also gone for some of the weekend.  We have a lot of snow out there today so I am hoping for a SNOW DAY TODAY!!! :) This card is kind of my take on vintage look.  I used a color spritzer and sponging to give the paper an aged look.  I made some Christmas tags a couple of weeks ago and one that I made was similar to this and I liked it so much that I decided to make it into a full size card.  The video for this card is posted below.

  • Stamp Sets:  Peaceful Wishes and Season of Joy
  • Card stock:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
  • Ink:  Early Espresso, Always Artichoke
  • Markers:   Cherry Cobbler
  • Color Spritzer Tool
  • 5/8" Grosgrain or Satin ribbon in Early Espresso
  • Oval Punch and Oval Scallop Punch

Have a wonderful snowy Monday!

You Can't Go Wrong With Wine!

Hi everyone!  I just had to show how Stampin' Up! and good wine go together! LOL  I made this cloth bag for a great bottle of wine using the new Stampin' Up! Deck the Halls Designer Fabric.  I cut the fabric at 5 3/4x 24.  Then I folded it in half and sewed  a seam at the top on each side.  Then I sewed up the sides using a 1/2" seam.

I have been so busy doing paper crafts I have really missed using my sewing machine!  :)  The ribbon is some wired 1/2" red Christmas ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great Tuesday!

Merry Monday: Ornament Punch

Hi everyone!  Merry Monday to you!  I did something really different and fun for this card.  for the background, I took one of my Texturz Plates and covered it with Always Artichoke ink using a brayer (the paper is Whisper White) then I ran it through the big shot!  I really like how it turned out and all I had to do was wipe off the plate with some of my stamp cleaner spray and a paper towel.  The ornaments were made using the SU ornament punch.  I used an old wallpaper book to punch out these ornaments.  It made them really thick and they lay nice on the card with dimensionals.  I used linen thread  to tie around each ornament.
Here is a close up of these wallpaper ornaments:  The wallpaper has great texture.

Thank you all so much for stopping by today and Merry Monday!!

Simple Wedding Card and Crafty Thurs. Video

I made this wedding card awhile back for a friend.  I wanted something simple and elegant.  I used Zip Dry to attach two silver bands (I got the bands in the wedding isle at Hobby Lobby ....there is like a million in a bag! :) Then I used wire cutters and cut the diamond off of a diamond brad and adhered that down with a glue dot.  And I finally decorated the inside of a card! My blogging friend Stacy inspired me!  She always does a cute job on the inside of her cards! (Thanks Stacy!)

Stampin' Up Items:
  •  Basic Black, Brushed Silver, Shimmery White card stock
