First Day of School Shape Card

Hi everyone!  This is going to be one of the projects that my Crafty Thursday club will make this week.  I am going to try to do a video series that will highlight a card each week and call it Crafty Thursday Card Series.  School is about to start so this is probably a wishful goal!! Ha! We will see. :)  I haven't made a shape card for awhile so I decided to give it a go.  I used Apple #4 from Preserves and welded the tops together using design studio.  The gap in the middle that did not weld is where I placed my stem and leaf.  This way the stem and leaf are on the inside of the card.  Here are a couple more views.  You can enlarge these by clicking on them.

  • Cardstock is from Stampin Up!:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, More Mustard
  • Designer Series Paper is Jolly Holiday
  • Ribbon is Pear Pizzaz
  • I used the oval scallop punch and the 1 3/4x 7/8 oval punch
  • White Gel Pen
  • Paper Crimper for the leaf
  • Preserves Cartridge with Design Studio
Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish everyone a good school year!

  4. Wow, this has to be the cutest back to school card ever. I would be lifting this if my youngest wasn't 24, lol.
