Happy Saturday Everyone!!
This is a quilt square that I made using the big shot and the cricut. I cut the heart out on the cricut using George and then I cut the scallop square using my big shot and the Stampin' Up! Scallop Square die. I used heat n bond lite on the back of the fabric before I cut it with the cricut, but you don't have to for the big shot. The entire square measures 8x8. It is just so fun using your cricut and big shot for things other than paper!! :)
Thanks for looking and happy crafting,
Nice blog! I'm following you now, you can find me at www.littleinkontheprairie.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use heat n bond and fabric to cut stuff out! I may have to try this - thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteI love it. Ya know, it's funny, the main reason I bought my cricut was for applique because I make a lot of quilts, but I have yet to try it out.
But, after seeing you do it, I just might give it a try :)
Thanks so much for all of your wonderful ideas and videos and for sharing
Stacy
I have been wanting to use my Cricut for fabric, you have given me the inspiration. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMe again, after you commented on my blog I wanted to see what type of fabric projects you are up to so I can to visit your blog. I love your quilt block. I'm curious about how the cricut cuts the fabric compared to the big shot. Do you have to adhere it to that cutting mat for the cricut?...can you cut more than one layer at a time with the cricut. I obviously don't have a cricut so was wondering. In case my customers ask I can talk up the Big Shot better! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreast job on the quilt square; would love to see the completed quilt, I bet it'll be beautiful!!! I hope you post it!
